Okay, so I obviously cannot come up with that many excuses for skipping every single workout this week. It basically came down to laziness, lack of motivation and stress.
The main factor is stress. Especially work stress. In all reality a workout would probably be helpful and make me feel less stressed, but by the time I am out of work and ready to go I am just plain exhausted. Being on edge and stressed 8+ hours a day 5 days a week can take a lot out of you. I believe a run would be the best thing for me on the days that I am that stressed because I know that I would end up half-assing a workout DVD and then I would just feel worse after.
I had to skip the color run this weekend because I just could not leave Isabel and Patrick when they are both not feeling well. I was looking forward to the run, and regret losing the money on not going, but my family is so much more important and I know that there will be more color runs in the future.
So my plan for next week is simple. I have a 2 mile course at work (that includes hills) that I will commit to running every day. If I feel up to doing more then I will, but since I will still be playing nurse all week I know that my time at home is much more important for both Patrick and Isabel.
Monday: 2 mile easy interval run, workout DVD?
Tuesday: 2 mile easy interval run, workout DVD?
Wednesday: 2 mile easy interval run, workout DVD?
Thursday: 2 mile easy interval run, workout DVD?
Friday: 2 mile easy interval run
Saturday: 10 mile long distance training run
Sunday: rest
